So, to start the fire show I have to summon and let loose the Phoenix:

It’s hard to get a picture of it as it is so quick, and that’s the best we’ve managed.

This year, as we had very little notice for the show, we didn’t have a drummer. So we threatened [livejournal.com profile] danielgreenwolf until he agreed to do it for us.

As I understand the threat, [livejournal.com profile] blue_micha convinced him there was an invisible elephant on the stage. He had to distract it with drumming while she snuck up behind it and gave it a flame enema or it would stomp us all.

The plan seems to have worked as he did a very good job drumming for us.

Next, as part of some strange religious ritual, we try to summon the infinite. At least I think that [livejournal.com profile] perrin_o_ravnos was trying to make a flame infinity symbol here.

This apparently angered the forest fairies as they attacked him. He managed to set them on fire, but they just proceeded to dive bomb him.

Tom then used his manpons to create a vortex and suck them in.

Everyone was very thankful for that and let him sit down and rest.

But, they came back with more help and went after [livejournal.com profile] blue_micha who had been comforting Tom in the picture above.

She was able to dance so fast that she could contain the little faries to a small space on each hand.

My wife then attached a rope to them to keep them from going off for more help.

You can see that she managed to open a time/space portal over Tom’s head and got ready to cast them into it.

Sadly, they managed to posses Tom who attacked. I had to pick up another flaming sword that just happened to be there and fend him off.

At this point, the invisible elephant attacked. But, we were prepared. You can see I managed to take the big torch and give it the enema. (As the elephant is invisible, you can only see the digestive tract on fire...)

So, that’s how the shows have been going.

No, I haven't started drinking anything stronger than soda.
I wrote this away from the fumes.

When I see photos, I always make up a story to go with them. Sometimes I make up the story while I'm taking them and fit them to it. (I remember one trip to Maine when I had my wife and myself pose for pictures about finding a lost island in the harbor.)

While uploading the photos, this is the story that came into my head. I just thought I'd write one down. My wife is usually the only one who hears them.
