Rotary to nowhere…

One of the ways home I take to avoid a bad intersection they are doing some construction.
For reasons not clear to me, they are building a rotary in the road.


There is one just north of it already, and it doesn’t appear to go to anywhere.


Right now there is nothing to either side of it. I doubt they’d build one on speculation.
I wonder what they’ll build next?

lol, Everyone I know calls them round-a-bouts. I like rotary too. =)

Rotary is the most common word for them here. But, all three do get used.

Sometimes there seems to be no reason why they do the things they do
