Music by the letters, part 2

I have been listening to my music alphabetically again. Not like last
July: http://www.fbhjr.livejournal.com/896633.html
Back then I was listening to everything in my library alphabetically.
This time I only listened to songs I put in my active play lists. iTunes
lets you rate songs from zero to 5. My active play list is songs I rate 2
or more.
That works out to 1406 songs for me. The number goes up as I find more
music I like. And, occasionally goes down as I get tired of songs.
You can see that there are far more songs at the bottom of that rating than
the top.
If you look at the top 11 most common first words of my songs I appear to
be quite egotistical.
(It is top 11 words as there was a tie for #10…)
But, if you look at the letter distribution it isn’t “I” that wins.
But, what I really wanted to find out was if you could see any particular
trend in what I like.
There are several songs that have the same title, but are different songs.
# - Name
4 - Hold On
3 - Changes
2 - Blood from a Stone
2 - Close But No cigar
2 - Heart And Soul
2 - I Want You
2 - Learning to Fly
2 - The Show Must Go On
2 - Turn Around
So, I guess I most often want people to Hold On as I’ve got 4 different
songs by that title. (And, they are very different songs…)
For the same song by different artists I was very surprised.
# - Name
3 - Mingulay Boat Song
3 - Waltzing Matilda
2 - Can't Help Falling In Love
2 - I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow
2 - Long Train Running
2 - Rolling Down To Old Maui
2 - Walk This Way
2 - Waltzing With Bears
I never expected Waltzing Matilda to be so high up that list.
I actually expected Auld Lang Syne, but then I realized that although I’ve
got 6 different versions of it, only one is rated 2 or above as I keep them
on their own playlist. (And, the dance version is the one that pops up on
my 2 or above…)
So, I do find this all very interesting.
But, I’ll probably go back to listening to it in random order again.
