Larp-a-palooza

Larp-a-palooza is a Live Action Role Playing game event near us. We decided we’d go to it and try and recruit some new performers.

Yesterday my wife and blue_micha set up the tent. I had wanted to help, but was too sick. Sad.

When we bought the tent we were told it could be set up by 2 people. But, before yesterday this was never tried.
Yesterday blue_micha and my wife put it up by themselves.


Today I was feeling much better. So, I was able to go to the actual show.


We weren’t scheduled for any particular things, so just did demos when people asked.








But, all in all, not a lot of folks there.


We joined the LARP meal plan and had lunch and dinner there.


In the afternoon it began to rain again.


Because of this, the LARP had to move its foam weapon tournament indoors. They chose the dance area with lights and sound going.

The boogie fights were very strange…

We mostly hid under the roof from the rain.


The LARP people moved outdoors for the "Grand Melee".

They certainly spread out a lot.

In the end, it came down to two men in kilts.


I was feeling better. That was nice.

It was very phased.
The first two left just before the second set arrived.
As we left, some ex-members showed up.
Not many folks at any one time...

Oh, that looks like it was fun. =) My son loves to Larp but it gets expensive.
