Last night I dreamed I was a tester for a virtual reality game called "Sheep Saver".
In it you were a sheep dog that had to protect a field of sheep.

You wore VR glasses to see as the sheep dog. But, at least in this game, sheep dogs don’t see very well. So, it is difficult for you to distinguish between things.
It was all basic colors. The field was very green. The stream that ran through it very blue. There were grey rocks and dark green bushes.
All creatures in the game showed up as black silhouettes.

As the sheep dog you were supposed to gather the sheep and bring them to the sheep farmer for shearing. You also were supposed to drive off any wolves, foxes or people who weren’t the farmer.

If you went up to another creature you could bark or growl at it. Which you needed to do would depend on the creature.
You barked at sheep to get them to go to the farmer. Growl at them and they would run farther away.
You barked at the wolf to keep it away. If you growled at it you would be attacked.
If you barked at the cat it would attack you, but if you growled it would go away.
The fox would try and hide as a cat as the silhouette was very similar, but took barking to drive it away.
The score was based on how many sheep you brought to the farmer and how much wool they produced. The longer in the field, the more wool. But, the greater chance something would get them.

I wasn’t doing very well at the game. I had trouble telling which creature was which. All the other testers of the game were getting much higher scores than me.

I had just growled at a cat, which was the right move and I was happy to have finally managed that.
Then I saw that what I thought was just stones was actually a bridge over the stream in the field. On the other side were more sheep.

I realized that my low score was because I was only using half of the field and ignoring half of the sheep.

I have no idea what this is about.
I have not been playing video games lately, and have never played a sheep based game.
Nor have I ever wanted to be a sheep dog.
