Jupiter Ascending

My wife and I went to see Jupiter Ascending last night, even though we had read a review on io9 that said: "It's like the sick love-child of Zardoz and Fifth Element."
But having seen it, I don’t think that is really a good view of it’s parentage.
I totally agree that The Fifth Element could be this movie’s mother.
But when The Fifth Element went out and got really drunk, it wasn’t Zardoz that took advantage of it. Maybe Zardoz was in the bar that night, maybe not. But, it was that 80’s version of Dune by David Lynch. That Dune is the movie daddy of this one.
But, the young Fifth Element was not able to keep the movie baby and gave it up for adoption. The couple of 1978’s StarCrash and Highlander II:The Quickening raised it as best they could.
When old enough it found its birth records and decided it wants to be like it’s mom, The Fifth Element. But, never quite manages it.
But, don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t that bad. It’s not Lost in Space…
