I drove straight over to Holy Cross from work. It is about 45 miles/75km from work, and traffic was bad.

Holy Cross is on top of a hill on the south side of Worcester so you get a good view of the city.

When I got there the line was already 1/4 of the way around the building. (Sorry it’s blurry…)

It was held in the "Captain Fantastic" building.

There were 4 big screens so all could see the slides. Seats on the floor were for special guests that included folks who had trouble climbing the stands.

I sat in the first row of the stands on the left edge nearest the exit to my car. I’m like that…
As

He was very busy, so we only exchanged waves.

"You know him?" the guy next to me asked.
"He was my roommate in college and almost 10 years after," I said. "So, yeah."
"Why didn’t you get him to get you a special seat?"
"I’m happy right here," I told him. And, with 3000 other folks there, I was happy by the exit.

As I said before, it was very hard to get a photo of Dr Tyson as he kept moving the whole time.
This is him showing us his new key to the City of Worcester.

I was able to get some OK photos off of video still, so you can see it really was him…

But, most photos were like this:

He says others are hung up about it, but he brought it up, not us.

He did actually stop and sit down when taking questions from a first grader.

The video of this has gone viral in the last 36 hours, so go off and look for it if you’re interested.
When it got out I was one of the first out after the questions and answers. (Lots of folks left before that.) Being near the exit helped with that.
It was snowing on the way home, but that didn’t photograph well.

I’ve heard some folks say that his talk was fluffy and disjointed, but we don’t agree.
We both found it to be a condemnation of US society and the people in this country, including the audience. But, it was delivered in a soft and fluffy way that meant people stood up and applauded him for his telling us we were failures dooming the human race if we don’t get our act together.
Neither one of us think that is the way the majority of the folks there took it.
But, I appreciated it for what I think it was.
