Crossed the line

For the past few months, it has been a bit difficult for me to focus on
things particularly close to my face.
A few weeks ago I bought some of those off the shelf reading glasses they
sell at the pharmacy near us. No prescription, just basically magnifying
glasses you put in front of your eyes.
At work today I popped a button on my shirt and had to borrow a sewing kit
from one of the administrative assistances here.
Her kit didn’t have one of those needle threaders and I had to thread it by
hand.
I couldn’t do it until I took out those reading glasses and put them on.
Then, no problem.
So, today when I am 50.6635 years old I needed to wear glasses to get
something done.
I’ll grant you only until I got that needle threaded, but I couldn’t have
done it without the optical help.
(OK, I wrote this yesterday, but forgot to post it when I got home from
work. Just another sign I’m old…)

(I had them from grade school to high school and by then refused to wear them b/c of self confidence issues, then got stubborn and felt I'd been able to see just fine without them)
