Minimal practice

Today was a bit cloudier than yesterday, but just as warm.


We went off to practice, but only morgan_lafaye showed up.
She helped my wife with some new costuming that looks good, but does not yet offer the movement for sword fighting.


We did get a call from Jose explaining he wouldn’t be a practice. (He called just as it should have started.) He does think he could be at practice the week we’ll be off at our next show…
Yeah. Not really useful.

My wife and I did do some sword fighting. Practiced our fight, did some exercises and such. No photos though. Sorry.
We also talked a lot about the New Jersey job in 2 weeks and what we’d do for it.
Looks like we’ll have four people. Me, my wife, palusbuteo, and John who is supposed to get back from Africa Thursday.
Hopefully in 9 months being a missionary in Africa he hasn’t forgotten how to sword fight as we only have one practice with him before the show.
(Yes, I do know how unlikely that is.)

Anyhow, the birds and flowers are nice.


The new folding bench my wife bought it also nice.


We spent time talking with the person who rents us his garage for this. He’s once more working on his car restoration and making more progress than he has for a while.


Sadly we just missed blue_micha as we passed her going over the dam as we were on our way out.
Sad we missed her as it has been a while, but good she’s having fun on her Can-am.

Every summer we face the problem of keeping folks involved. This year it seems to have started a bit earlier. Hopefully we’ll get a bit more energy when John is back. If nothing else with people coming to hear his stories of Africa…

Everything is so green! I know I've said that before but not so long ago things were so white and then brown and now it's just the most brilliant green. Mother nature is amazing.
