Sauron came to sword practice

Sauron came to sword practice today.

It’s always a pain when he’s there. The good news is that since the 3rd age he’s lost a lot of his power and is much easier to deal with.

I don’t know if he’s what changed the weather. Yesterday they said it would change to rain in the afternoon. It never did.


But, it was fairly warm, so not much stuck around.


And, it did look nice on the trees.


There was less snow in Connecticut where we have practice.


This whole warm, cold, warm, cold thing this winter leaves things not knowing if they should be covered in snow or not. Like this lake is, but the land around it isn’t.


Sauron tried grabbing some of the swords, but he shrunk when he lost his power so had trouble with it.


We ignored him and went on with sword practice.


Sauron used this distraction to try and steal my wallet.

I stopped him, but he grabbed my key ring and tried to make off with it shouting about one ring etc.

He didn’t get far.

As a total aside, to show how high [Bad username or site: “blue_micha" @ livejournal.com] can kick, check out the boot print on my wife’s chest.


I did do some sword fighting too.


For those of you who mentioned my height in the meme yesterday, this is a photo of me with my wife. She’s about 5’3” or 160cm.


On the way home, we found the new bridge over the lake is open, and the old one closed.


The water isn’t totally frozen over, but still looks pretty cold.


It was a nice day and had a nice sunset to go with it.
