[livejournal.com profile] tatjna picked the following icons for me to talk about:

Who could resist that face?

Bet there's a backstory.

Umm...

Why this coat of arms?

Explain your exotic food to me!

If you want to play, let me know and I’ll pick some of your icons about which to speak.

This is an old photo from one of our sword practices. We had a show where I was supposed to run at [livejournal.com profile] blue_micha and she would drop a brick out of her costume and run away.
This is a photo of me doing the run towards her.

I often use it as an icon for when I’m upset about something, even though in the actual photo I was only pretending.

That’s Mortimer. He’s one of my dream pets. He drives off bad dreams from next to my bed.
There is a longer story about him here: http://fbhjr.livejournal.com/72611.html

The hat of doom!
This is a perfect example of one of those things that seems like it will be better than it actually is.

Our sword troupe has this as its icon:

Over the last dozen years we have twice put on our own faire. This is a major undertaking. My wife did most of the work, including a different website for the faire.
She came up with this as a icon to use for the faire that would be different from the main sword troupe one.
She got her inspiration from a phoenix image in a medieval book from somewhere around 1300.
I’ve written a lot about our faire if you’re ever interested:

For many years a church near where my aunt used to have her summer cottage had a clam bake each July.
My aunt would invite my wife and I to attend and spend a day at the beach.
This icon is a photo of the food given out at the clam bake. It is clams, sausage, corn, stuffing and an onion that they give out to everyone.
Here is one of the stories of the visit:
