Practice, fire and leaves

It was another nice day today.


So, we headed out to practice.


Of course, some people were having a bad day.


But, we continued to more peaceful roads.


And, it was a nice day to cross the dam to practice.


There were only 4 of us today. So, we practiced for next week’s fire show.


In the bright sun it is easier sometimes to see the shadow of the flame than the flame itself.


blue_micha decided to try the big fans.


It’s a lot of fire.


Even against the blue sky it shows up.


Practice went well, but with only a few of us there we ended early. So, we decided to drive around some and look at the leaves before they all turn brown and fall off.


We drove up north of the city.


We drove around the reservoir that feeds our area.


The water looks cold.


So, we kept going around.


The water still looked cold.


So, we went to the town where we used to have sword practice until the archery shop closed.


Nice colors on the trees.


We went past the Clinton dam. Strange that all of our practice areas seem to be near dams...


There seemed to be a lot less trees than before.


The water continued to look cold.


Then, back home.

It is the prettiest time of year. But it is already fading. A week or two more and it will all be gone.
