I dreamed I was on a business trip to Vermont. We were going to visit a
company that was going to be building something for us and I was leading a
group of inspectors to make sure they could really do it.
It was a large group and we took up two SUVs. The place was on the side of
a hill along a valley. When we parked in the parking lot we had a very
nice view out across the valley to the hills on the other side.
The building we were visiting was built into the side of the hill so where
we were the top floor was a ground level. But, there were other floors
below as it descended down the side of the hill.
It was a tan brick building that looked like it had been there a while.
But, I could see through the windows that inside it was mostly open space
and glass, so knew it had been modernized.
The entrance to the building was very strange. You had to go into a small
foyer inside the outerv doors. But, to get through the inner doors you had
to stand on top of a small pedestal on one foot and bounce up and down to a
code. There was a small pedal built into the top of the pedestal that
would pick up your movement and if you did it right it would unlock the
door.
I hopped up on the pedestal and bounced a couple of times. But, I had to
put my other foot down for balance, and it wouldn’t unlock the door.
Fortunately a woman working inside saw my failed bounce and opened the door
for us.
We went in and had our meeting.
Dream ends
I can see where a lot of elements of this dream came from.
We have been discussing going up to visit my father’s grave in Vermont
before the snow starts. I had a whole lot of meetings last week.
Yesterday when my wife visited my workplace she was talking about all the
glass in the lobby.
I just got one of the phones that does fingerprint recognition and was
talking about how it might not be worth all that for access.
But, it is strange to see how all that came together.
