Yeah, going to a faire you don't like with comp / free tickets isn't a bad way to go :D
I've gotten comp tix for King Dick's a few times, as one of the Romans is also a 17th century "King's Guard" I would not go otherwise....But you can guess why.
Although I'm sort of impartial to CT, as I haven't "worked" it ( I don't think so with PS Maybe I'm thinking SCRF) but that was the last weekend last year (and I believe closed early due to a impending hurricane?) and hadn't been to it before that since what, 2005? When it was still in Woodstock.
*shrug*
BUT, I understand and empathize with the way you feel towards the organizers and such, so, yeah.
As for Boynton, Yeah last time I was there was probably 2003(?) just after they renovated the restaurant part when it was the old pizza-sub shop. The bar was still the same ol bar and I even painted a depiction of that on the back exterior wall in the parking lot when I was with the art gallery next door around 2000. I think probably just before I met you guys.
As for the buttery food - Good to know for future reference.
