Everyone wants to go to Texas?

In a few weeks I’m going on this trip to visit vendors in Texas and Oregon.
For the Texas part, I need to be there Monday afternoon. So, my wife and I
are going to fly down that Friday so she can see where she lived back in
the day.
This morning I bought her tickets. There were about 15 places on the plane.
By the time I could buy mine 5 minutes later, the plane was sold out.
(Except for expensive first class.)
I tried through several sites and always got the same response. Sold out.
So, I picked the next best flight. Between when I said OK to the flight
and put in the credit card info, that one sold out too!
I did finally get another plane. I am sad that my wife and I will be on
parallel flights, not together. But, we’ll both leave and get there within
15 minutes of each other so it shouldn’t be too bad.
I guess we picked a popular time to go to Texas. Don’t know why. I’d
think folks would want to go there when it is cooler. But, that’s me.
Didn’t seem to be any problem on the Oregon side. Lots of flights for that.
I guess I should have bought the tickets Friday when I thought of it.
Sad.
