How did you come to start your LJ?
I discovered that people were saying things about me that weren’t true on LJ from some friends who were on LJ. I had been avoiding LJ for certain reasons up until then, but I decided that I should see what people were saying, and put out what I was really thinking as some people seemed to get it quite wrong.

How did you find your first friends?
It was people I already knew where on LJ.

Are those first friends still on your FL?
Many of them. But, most of them spend more time on Facebook than LJ. Sad.

How long have you been on LJ?
5 1/2 years/

Do you have more friends or communities on your FL?
Friends by far.

Do you do a lot of friends cuts?
No. I’ve cut a few, but not many.

What do you like in an LJ friend?
People who write what they are.

What do you dislike in an LJ  friend?
People who don’t.

What would make you un-friend someone immediately?
There has one be one instance of that. It was when I found that someone had been lying to be and actively trying to harm me while pretending to be a friend to my face. When I found out, I defriended them right away.

Have you been caught up in a lot of LJ drama?
If you see the first question, that’s sort of how I started here. I’m not sure if that’s a lot, but it is some.

Do real-life friends and family members know you have a journal on LJ?
Some of them.

Do you also have Facebook and if so, what do you prefer – LJ or FB?
I do have a facebook as there are friends of mine who are only on facebook. I much prefer LJ. I can express things much more here and it is much easier to search for old posts here.

What about Twitter?
Nope.

Do you blog on any other sites?
Nope.

How often do you check in on LJ?
A few times a day. Usually morning and night, often at lunch. If I get a break in the day I often check then as well.

What do you rarely or never post about?
Things that I’ve been asked not to discuss, are private, or might hurt people to say.

Why don't you post about that?
I think that should be self evident.

Have you ever thought about deleting your journal?
Nope.

Have you ever changed your username?
Nope.

Why did you choose your current username?
It is my initials. Frank B Hunt jr.

If you're looking for new friends, how do you find them?
I’ve been to a few friending frenzies. It got a fair number of new folks to join.

Are you taking new people on to your Friends List just now?
Sure.

Finally, tell us the reasons why you keep an online journal.
I’ve kept a journal for a long time. I started as a kid when I was about 10. I stopped for a while in college and my 20’s. I started again in my 30’s. It wasn’t on line. It was in a locked file on my computer.
So, it really is just a shift in what computers it is on. Now it is on line and other folks can read it, but that’s really the only difference.

While I have friends on here and on FB Facebook is very limited with details about my life because of who else is friends only on Facebook. They don't need to know everything :)

What is said in LJ, stays on LJ is my philosophy unless of course I choose to share it in a status update or something.
