As I was turning on to 495 on my way home last night, I saw a horse
standing in the little green area next to the on ramp.
It had those things on its face (I’m not a horse person. Reins? Bridle? I
don’t know) but no saddle on its back.
As I drove up the ramp to the highway I saw a person wearing brightly
colored clothes come running out of the woods towards the horse.
The person tried to jump onto the back of the horse, which sounds
impressive. But, the horse was too high, so they only managed a sort of
belly flop onto its side.
As I reached the highway, the person was sliding back down the side of the
horse as it turned to look at them.

As I got on the highway I was passed by a flatbed truck of corn. Not
kernels or ears of corn. Whole stalks of corn put sideways on a truck tied
down and driven down the road at 75 miles per hour.

I’ve dealt with this highway in some way or another for almost every job
I’ve worked.
Never saw either of those things before…

The second was clearly for sale to suburban ladies.

Yes, it is high season for all those Martha-Stewart Wannabes to stuff their homes with intricately arranged nesting materials - I hate visiting stranger's homes at this time of year as you never know what sort of dead plant pollen/seeds/dust you are going to pick up.

Sounds like horsey was tired of his training and decided to run off and play in the woods for a bit without the trainer! Somedays, I think we all want to do that..
