Less eventful that I had expected

Yesterday we went and picked up our comics.
I’m told they are changing the name of what is really the alley next to it from Marmon place to Lois Lane.

I wonder if they will still keep “Private street dangerous” on it. It would not be totally inappropriate for Lois...

This morning when we came down we found a child’s handprint on the glass of our front door.

While I am sure it belongs to the hand of the young girl who lives below us, it really looked like something out of a Stephen King book to me.

We found one of our neighbor’s cars badly parked in the lot.
It was so bad the squirrels in the trees had been bombarding it with nuts.


This weekend my wife had wanted clams for dinner. Friday we went to a place that often has them, but did not then. So, on the way to sword practice we stopped at a place down the road that always has them.


I bought their clam cakes, which I like a lot.


Sadly, at sword practice today, my wife and I were the only folks there.
We visited with the owner of the garage a bit. And, we had a visitor.


I am sad that everyone opted out practice, but when it’s two months until our next show, I’m not sure I can blame them.
And, we have scheduled no practices the next two weeks for labor day anyhow.
So, we went to storage and dropped off the swords.

No sense dragging them around when we don’t need them for 3 weeks.

Dang, the clam cakes looked good. I'm very sorry no one showed up. I know I e-mailed as soon as I got home from having my toe checked out. Didn't other folks notifiy you,it sucks that you had to drive down for no reason.

We got a fair number of notices. When we left there were still 3 of the regulars unaccounted for, and we figured it was worth the drive in case they showed up.
But, it didn't work out.
