It’s been a humid week. The good news is that looks cool, even if it doesn’t feel that way.

It was so wet that mushrooms started sprouting in the middle of the lawn outside our apartment. Strangely painted Land Rovers responded while the rest of us just tried to get back and forth to work.

The original plan for the weekend was I’d get out of work early Friday and we’d drive a couple of hours up to Maine to meet [livejournal.com profile] gilden and his wife before they headed back south.
But, meetings and deadlines scuttled that plan.

So, last night we went out to eat with [livejournal.com profile] blue_micha & [livejournal.com profile] perrin_o_ravnos instead as it is a 20 minute drive to Worcester even in heavy traffic.

Today we were going to meet up with my friend Alan who was going up to New Hampshire to help his mother with his computer. But, instead of getting there yesterday, he got there today. So, he didn’t have time to meet up with us either.

So, we sat around the house and watched TV most of the day.
I watched the Olympics when it was my turn on the TV and my wife her Medium show when it was her turn.
Saw some good stuff on the Olympics. That was quite the win in Women’s tennis. And, the guy from South Africa who is a sprinter even without his lower legs? That’s something else. Felt bad for the Egyptian soccer team given what they had to do to practice this year.

Tomorrow we’re leaving early, getting Mark, bringing him to our sword practice to teach a class, then driving him home again afterwards.
So, it will average well with today.
