More Ren Center
May. 7th, 2012 06:35 pmSunday we did the UMass Ren Center faire.

That nice group shot took a couple of tries as setting it on auto-timer sometimes had less than great results.

The site is very nice, at the top of a meadow on the side of a hill.

It’s not a big faire, but still nice.

And, there is enough down time for folks to relax.

Out space and times were clearly given.

(Which I like more than the time we were told “do what you want, when you want”.)
And, a fair number of people came to watch us.

For some reason the crowd seems to like this better when a woman does it to a man.

(Swing their dagger through their legs and pull on their arm.)
A second set of pants has now been ripped by this move.

The good news is, only at the end of our last show.
Dave and Kara continue to do the Tallhoffer moves they worked out.

After and between shows, lots of people had questions.

There were birds there too.

Several of our people were willing to do sword fights for the chance to hold puppies.

I’ve taken to throwing spears at other members.

We need more sword fighting and less dancing.

At one point

No one is really sure why. He’s mysterious that way.

This is the nurse who was so interested in stab wounds and her son.

Afterwards we went out to eat.

We were not attacked by a pig.

We took the short way home. It’s 20 miles shorter, but not highway, so can take longer.

(The highway has more traffic and often takes just as long. Particularly on sunny Sunday evenings.)
Going through Worcester we saw they’re STILL cleaning up from the Godzilla attack.

But, at least they’re working on it.
