I’ve got my new car

We got up this morning and set out on the Saturn’s last drive.

I’ve a fair collection of “end of voyage” songs, and played some of them on the way to the dealership.
We ended with Jack Salt’s version of “Leave her Johnny, leave her”.
But, then it was time for my new car.

There had been some question about just what the color would be. Some of the pictures are more green, some are more blue. I was hoping for more blue, my wife more green.
It turns out to be more blue. My wife says that’s OK as I’m the one who will be driving it.
It was a bit sad saying goodbye to the car we’ve had since 1995. But, all things have their time, and its time had come.

So, being the people we are, we took our brand new car to...
The supermarket.

(Yep, hard to see with all those bigger, very badly parked, cars.)
The new car doesn’t have a lot of truck space, but it’s got more than enough for me.

I was very happy to see that on the 17 miles home, it got 47 MPG. For a mixture of highway and secondary roads, that’s pretty good.
