Last day

Yesterday was our coupe’s last day in the sun.


We’ve had it for 6118 days, which is 3 months short of 17 years.
It has done very well for us over that time.
It still gets about 32MPG highway and 27 city. And, it still has a lot of get up and go in it.
Not bad after all those years.
But, a couple of hours from now we’re trading it in.

Of course, the head lights have problems, the windshield wipers have stopped working, the driver’s side seat has been broken for a decade and, like something out of Logan’s Run, on its last day the “service engine soon” light has been flashing on and off.

But, I’ll still miss it.

Alas, poor Coupe! You knew him well, and he has served valiantly. I swear that they know when the end is near. I am sure that your new toyota will make you happy and comfortable (and be even easier on your gas card)!

i know the feeling. i'm going to miss my Honda something fierce when i have to replace it. :(
