This morning we were sad to see it was still raining when we set off for the show.

We had come up with a way to try and fix the tent with a giant umbrella.

This did mostly work, even if my wife didn't like the "getto" look.  But, it's what we could make work.

We sent Tom out to do his "anti-rain dance".  This used to work at other shows.

Thunderstorms approached, even if one of the faire management tried to convince us it was just a big muscle truck on the road.

The approaching storm led to some interesting sights.  You never see a topless man with furry pants up over a tent near poles in an approaching storm at home.

Sadly we found the place we had set up the tent was under a broken gutter, which led to a LOT of water coming down on our tent.

Our first stage was on the big raised cement stage in the thunderstorm.
So, we decided to do it under the deck next to the stage.

When we got back to the tent we found a small lake encroaching on it.  Tom and Devon took to bailing out the lake.

This made Devon very cold and we were worried about hypothermia.  So, we bundled him up and kept him talking so he didn't die.

Jack Salt did his shows.  There weren't a lot of folks, but more showed up as the show went on.

When we got back to where the tent had been we found it flooded out.

About 4, the faire organizer called it quits and let us go home.
It was still raining as we packed up.

We drove off to dinner and found that it isn't always Mass drivers that can't park well.

Dinner was nice, but we were all tired.

All we had to do when we got back to the hotel was clean a few dozen swords that were in the rain all day, and run 3 loads of costuming through the drier.
Wait, that takes a while....
