We woke up this morning and said goodbye to our sleep number bed.

We also said goodbye to the sunny 80 degree weather.

When loading the car, I saw I wasn’t the only one looking out. My wife was doing it too.

We had discussed what to do before the 2PM flight. The answer was sleep late, pack and then drive to the airport.

As was true all week, the weather as we left was quite nice and warm.

As we had 2 hours, I browsed the bookstore at the airport. I was surprised that their fiction department had all sorts of classics in there. “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest” was the most recent written. And that is almost 50 years old.

The airport seemed to have a collection of old DC-10’s.

If we thought it was hot, I can only imagine what the folks from Iceland think.

Our plane landed. I hope the pilot didn’t fly like this.

We took off either way. Hopefully all the flight crew was on the inside.

As we flew off, I could see the Vehicle Assembly building in the distance one last time.

Soon it seemed we were coming in over Worcester.

It was 78 degrees when we got on the plane and 34 when we got off.

To prevent having to carry my coat all week, I had left it in our car. Good news is, it warmed up fast.

Then, we went home and opened our Christmas presents.

I’m pretty sure she liked it. No, really.

My wife got me some very cool books. One rare one on naval swords. Very cool!
