This morning when we left the room, we found the runaway TVs waiting in a line by the elevator.

Clearly, rounded up by the authorities and being sent off to TV hall.

But not wanting to get involved with the rehabilitation of runaway TVs, we went to Seaworld instead.
There I found the interesting thing on ticket pricing.
Get in once: $86.
Get in as often as you want until the end of 2012: $86

So, we can come back in next Christmas on the same ticket?
OK, I bought them.

Then, it was only a matter of waiting in line to get in.

My wife went over to the bakery and had a nice breakfast.

While eating we kept an eye out for our cousins and watched the antics of the squirrels and birds.

I did also reflect on not having a job that makes me dress like a Christmas orca.

We waited, and waited.
Finally we got a text from our cousin saying they were there.
My wife replied “We’ll clean up and meet you.”
She meant, put our tray away and walk to the front gate.
She was thought to have meant “we’re still at the hotel and will be a while.”
So, we waited and waited.
Then it turned out my other cousin had 4 free tickets and was still waiting outside for us to come and take them.
I had thought, how nice all my cousins can come in for free and don’t have to pay through the nose for going the places we want to go.
They thought “I’ll share my tickets with them”, which is also very nice.
We did eventually straiten it all out and meet up. Then, we looked at fish.

We also played “spot the octopus”.

I liked the sea dragons as I don’t remember having seen any before, leafy or plain.

There was also a bit where they had semi-aquatic mammals do tricks.

Although semi-aquatic myself, I did not stick my head in the bowl of the tank.

There was only one reason my wife comes to SeaWorld.

But, she wanted to do that last and see everything else first.

That left us the question of “what else to do?”

So, we went to a dolphin show.

I should point out that I wanted to feed the dolphins, but refused to stand in a line more than 100 yards long. So, I joined the others at the show.
It was an interesting show.

The whole second act is human acrobats.

Then, they have their “false killer whale” as billed on the signs.

It did a lot of tricks. It’s bigger than the dolphins and makes a very big splash too.

Then the finally is the acrobats and the dolphins. No killer whale, false or not.

One of the things that amazed me the most was they have birds in the show too.

Getting birds to fly about on queue seems very hard to me.

My wife and I waited outside when everyone else went to see the Antarctican dinosaurs. (Penguins)

Then, off to feed the seals and sea lions.
They seem a bit picky about what they eat. This one turned away from the fish I threw.

I did manage to feed 3 fish to seals. That may sound easy, but it isn’t.
There are lots of birds there that want the fish, and most sea lions do too. The seals seem to be the last to get them. But, if I through a fish right in front of one, it got it before the others.

Then, again, what to do next?

I did spot a very rare sight.
A semi-aquatic mammal decorating its environment.

It is amazing how many folks didn’t seem to appreciate that.

I finally decided it was time to put up with the line and feed those dolphins.
I got in line 30 minutes early, but was not at the front.

The line behind me was much longer by the time feeding time arrived.

So, I fed the dolphin.

44 years later, I still have qualms about doing it as my father told me it was a “waste of time and money” to feed dolphins. But, he’s dead, the dolphin got the fish.

My wife fed the rays. She likes doing that, and my father never told her anything about feeding sea life.

She really likes doing it and they never bite. Never!

OK, they do ram you trying to get you to drop the fish. But, it didn’t stop her.

Then, we had to find the others. The good news is, they weren’t trapped in a human snow globe as others were.

So, we decided to head out of Seaworld and get lunch.

We ate at a nice place on International Drive, then my wife and I headed back to the hotel so she could take a nap.

In the evening, we decided to walk down International to go to the movies.
I had not expected to see a Lobstermobile on the way.

This is the most tropical Denny’s I have ever seen.

The upside down building has been there for a while. It is still upside down.

As we waited for the movie to start, it occurred to me that it was the solstice and I could balance an egg on its end. I didn’t have any eggs, so I used my mostly empty water bottle.
It balanced, so that proved it was really the solstice.

Wait, it is the equinox that it is supposed to happen? Not the solstice?
Well, I guess this must mean it is either March or September now, not December like I thought.
The movie made about that much sense too.
It looked nice.
It had nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes other than the names of some of the characters.

But, I’ve seen a whole lot worse.
And, the walk back to the hotel with the Christmas palm trees was very nice.

"I seaworld, I eat it"

Nicely done. :D

I'm sorry, the dancing peoples/sea animals stage set looks ridiculous to me. Too much going on.

Glad you had a good time, regardless of lines and such. The place seems to get stranger and more crowded each time you go.

Another entertaining adventure!
I wonder if the rays ever knock themselves silly by ramming into things like that? Good thing that they never bite. Never!

The lobster consuming the car was very cool - I had no idea that they grew so large down in Florida. I guess that is something to watch out for next time I go down there.

For some reason, the juxtaposition of those floodlight posts around the snowglobe made me first think that it was a very odd-looking Calvary-scene, with 2 cross on either side of a snowglobed Jesus - oh well, 12 year of catholic school doesn't wear off easily.

We're in agreement with these silly action "Sherlock Holmes" movies. Why don't they just give the characters different names and make an action movie if they want to, but leave Sherlock Holmes as he should be. We're boycotting that movie on principle alone.

You are certainly getting lots of quality vacationing in on your trip - well done!
