I remain the Noodleman!
Sep. 14th, 2011 11:15 pmTonight my wife and I went off to see “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest” where she works. (Where my wife works, not the hornet kicking girl.)
As we only had an hour to drive over, eat and get to the movie, my wife called ahead to the Chinese place near where she works.
As always, she ordered me the noodles and dumplings because I think they have the best noodles and dumplings in Worcester.
When we got there the woman behind the counter asked if I had called ahead.
“HIS ORDER IS THE NOODLES!” the older Chinese woman standing at the wok shouted before I could say anything.
“I’ll get a bad for that,” the counter woman said.
“I WILL BAG HIS ORDER MYSELF!” the wok woman shouted.
And, she did.
She carried it out to me.
“Noodles and dumplings for you,” she said. “And something for your wife too.”
“Thank you,” I said.
“Enjoy the noodles!” she said.
“You know I will,” I said and got a huge smile from her.
It’s good to know that even if I can’t get over there as often as I used to, I am still remembered as the noodleman.
P.S. The “Skynet Internet Cafe” next to them has already closed after less than a year. I figure the Connor’s must have gotten to them...

I like the sesame noodles. It's the sauce that I really like. It's a peanut sauce that is really good.
Edit: The dumplings are their standard pan fried ones.
