They have taken Yolanda’s power

We had three cellphone lines as they offered one for free if we had two others.
But, the extra one was lost in some sort of elevator accident this week. So, we thought we’d shut it down.
I went down to the Sprint store today to take care of it.
“I am Yolanda,” the woman at the door said. “How may I help you today?”
“Hi, I’ve got three phones on my plan and I’d like to close out one of them,” I told her.
“We can no longer do that,” she said. “We used to be able to do that, but THEY HAVE STOLEN OUR POWER!”
“What?”
“You must now call customer service to cancel a line,” she said.
“Sorry. What number should I call?”
“*2 on your phone,” she said. “If you want a new phone activated, let me know.”
She handed me her card and I left.
When I called customer service, they did agree to turn off the phone, but only after trying to get me to upgrade it to a new phone or two different kinds of tablets.
But, it is shut off.
Sadly Yolanda didn’t get to use her power to shut it off.
