How disappointing

Last night my wife took me to Wild Willy’s Burgers for dinner.
When we ordered our food and went for a table, I got us a window seat.
“Why the window seat?” my wife asked.
“We’re in a western themed restaurant under a high power line next to a railroad track,” I said. “On the other side of the track is the biggest industrial area in the city that fills the whole valley there. Across the street on the other side is a shopping mall and a museum with a collection of medieval arms and armor. It is the middle of winter and there is a thunderstorm going on out there.
“This is just the sort of setting where you get superheroes, giant monsters, aliens or some sort of supernatural event!”
So, I looked out the window repeatedly through dinner. Lightning flashed over the industrial complex. The high power lines and railroad rails lit up in the light of it.
Nothing. Not even a train went by.
Sad.
The good news was that it was a REALLY good steak sandwich I had. The best I can remember having. (I only remember 3 others.)
And, it was a very nice dinner with my wife.
I hadn’t been feeling good all day, but after we ate I felt much better.
So, maybe it was my wife’s making me feel better that was the super power.
