Happy New Year
Feb. 6th, 2008 09:53 amEvery year I send New Year wishes to the folks I deal with in China. I got a very nice letter back from one of them today that made me smile.
I’ve edited out names (company, project and personal) to protect the innocent.

Hi, Frank
It's been a while since we last communicated. I hope you and your family is doing well. From time to time, we asked “B” how is Frank doing. He always says you are very busy at “work”.
Thanks for your holiday greeting and thanks for remembering. Yes, Lunar Chinese New Year is THE biggest holiday in China. The whole nation celebrates with each and every family. For me, we do nothing different. We will gather with my parents and in-law families as well as visiting close relatives. Another big thing is "feast"-- abundant of food. (Makes me gain weight). This year, it is little special. Because of the sudden stormy weather, many parts of China and the city's mobility is in Chaos. The government is doing a lot of things to clear up the mess.
In the past year, we are gearing lot of effort to launch the “big” project. It is definitely more challenging and complicated than the “previous” project. Luckily, we go step by step and finally (slowly but surely) start to ramp-up. During this process, I see lot of your effort as well including information sharing, timely response and follow-up, etc, we appreciate very much! I hope we can get on track and really " start" the volume once all obstacles are cleared and issued are resolved.
Over the past 3 and half years, “B” had brought quite some “work” people—“B2”, “S”, “G”, QC, etc. But our office unanimously vote that YOU are THE most liked and welcomed here. We are looking forward to your visit to China and our office in the near future.
Regards,
H
