Party to B-day

Saturday night we ate enough food that Sunday most people still weren’t hungry.
It was the last practice before our next big job, but the weather was sort of cold and dreary.

As we were getting ready for a big show, the swords all needed to be polished.

This was made much easier by Mr. B who let us use the new buffing wheel he had just bought the day before.

Meanwhile, for you car porn people, he has his T-Bird almost back together.

Practice went OK, even if it was a bit chilly.

I did find it interesting that one of the houses nearby had a pirate flag up that I could see through the trees.

I expect it was up because of Halloween the week before, but I’ll take it as a good sign.
On the way home Sunday the light just at sunset looked very strange.

As my wife said “it looks like we drove to another planet.”

And, the next morning, there was snow on the ground.

It wasn’t much. But, it still resulted in massive traffic jams around Boston as only half a dozen people forgot how to drive in snow and brought everyone else to a halt when they crashed.
Today, my actual birthday, my wife got me a very nice balloon.

It is quite buoyant and likes to stay in the rafters.

She also gave me a very nice paperweight she had bought way back in June when we were at the Mystic Realms faire.
That shows how much she plans ahead.
It was a very nice birthday. Having it spread over 4 days doesn’t hurt either.
