The loss of pockets
Apr. 5th, 2010 06:09 pmToday was the first day I headed off to work without my coat this spring. It was a bit chilly, but it warmed up quickly.
Without my coat and it’s pockets, I made sure to grab my phone, iPod, camera, extra camera battery, sunglasses and memory stick.
It was as I pulled into work I realized I remembered all of that, but not my lunch.
I’m not saying having more pockets would have made me remember my lunch. But, knowing all of that is pre-loaded in my coat does give me time to think of other things I’m supposed to bring with me.
But, a brief case is over kill for what I carry as I can fit it all in my hands.
I’m thinking I need some sort of portable pocket holder. Something that has pockets like a coat, but without the actual coat.
I was thinking about those things clergy wear around their necks that drape down the front. Could you put pockets on those? They’d be easy to take off when you got where you’re going, but you’d still have your stuff with you…
