Fate is against dinner
Feb. 18th, 2010 06:54 pmLast night I cooked one of my wife’s favorites for dinner as she hadn’t been feeling well. It wasn’t easy as two different markets were out of the ingredients needed, but we found we had some on the shelf at home.
Just as I finished, her cousin called reminding us were were supposed to meet him for dinner. (I had thought it was tonight, not last night.)
So, I put the food in the fridge and took it for lunch today.
(My wife does not like reheated beef, and this was steak in peanut sauce.)
Today I stopped at a third supermarket and found more ingredients. I went to shake the remains of last night’s out into the trash, and the handle broke off of the pan and it went into the trash.
I managed to juggle it with one pan. Hopefully it will be OK.
