So, there is your fix. Now, on with what I’m big on.

I kept telling her he was just faking it (as he should at a show) but I’m not sure she believed me.
I demonstrated a maneuver where I clamped his hands between the swords and started to pull.
“Hey! My fingers! You’ve got my fingers!” he shouted.
“That’s what he sounds like when he isn’t faking,” I told her.
I apologized to him and assured him I had checked he was wearing gloves first. (No, I did. Really. You can even see them in that photo.)
When I went inside

OK, he was saying:
“Cast your blows more!” “Mind your footwork!”
Of course, he was dancing a jig in his fight with Tom, so I’m not sure what that says about his footwork.

And, I won’t even get into how he holds the sword.

Seriously I am very happy that he has been working with everyone’s casting and footwork. He has a very good eye for it and a willingness to tell folks how they’re doing, good or bad. That is very helpful to the whole troupe.
And, I like to think that we’re all making progress in those areas.

Of course there are always injuries. I took a group photo of the folks in our troupe who have been seriously injured by cardboard.

Two slipped on it, breaking bones or concussing themselves. The one who seem so happy there almost died from an infected paper cut on cardboard. (None of that happened at anything to do with the troupe.)
While I’d like none of our people to have any injuries, what happens when they’re not at our events isn’t something I can even try and watch over.
It’s only 6 weeks until our big show in Pensacola. As always, I’m worried about it all coming together. But, this year we’ve got a lot of people who are working very hard for it and seem very excited about it. So, that should make it easier.
Aaah, T-bird.......

:-P
Good luck with the practicing - you guys will be very impressive with your footwork. You aren't planning a "RiverDance" encore act, are you?
