Maybe I’m going about this wrong

The election is over and my internet ads have gone back to weight loss and on line college ads. I guess that’s what I wanted. I am happy that Scott and Martha are no longer popping up behind my email telling me the other one will destroy the “American Way”.
I was reading an article on genetics and expression of genes last night. The article was saying that one of the things researchers are now thinking is that living things came up with a way to turn parts of genes on and off so they could react to environmental changes faster then genetic mutation allows. It’s a very interesting idea and some of the research looks very promising.
Maybe I need to think in those terms of politics as well. Maybe it is already happening and I hadn’t realized it.
The parties are big and entrenched. They can’t change quickly. Like genetics major change takes generations.
But, there are forces in government that get people to change quickly, even going against what should be entrenched by their party.
Maybe I need a special interest group, political action committee or lobbyist.
Much like expression of genes, they don’t change the underlying thing, only change how much it is expressed.
I know you’re thinking “Frank, you’re not much of a group on your own.” Thank you. I appreciate that with the weight loss ads in the background.
But, I plan to use the Dogbert method on that one.
“I’ve got between one and three million supporters.”
“How’d you get so many?”
“I found a way to make two sound like a lot.”
