Moving Hoops
Dec. 13th, 2009 10:05 pmOne of the continuing issues we’ve had with Phoenix Swords is a place to practice. For some reason, folks get worried when you tell them you’re going to be swinging swords around. We’ve gone through a fair number of places to practice over the last 7 years.
For the last few, we’ve been at Hoops Archery in Clinton. But, now they are closing their doors and we’re homeless again.
For at least a while we’re going to be using
Today was the first day of packing things up. At least for now to be stored in our spare room.
Loading up my station wagon, it did occur to me how much things have changed since we started practicing at Hoops. For one thing, there used to be a factory across the street from it.

The troupe has a lot of stuff. We had several cars, and filled them all up pretty well.

One of the biggest things to move was the “clam” that we have for roof top storage.

Even with that, we had more stuff then room.

But, we got on the road with the caravan of 4 cars headed home through the snow.

I was very relived when
But, the offered and I agreed. So, we drove it down to their place on

Then, off to sushi at the local place where there was a flip the chopstick wrapper demonstration.

It is sad to move on from Hoops. It had been sad to move on from our other places too. But, we kept going then and I expect to do the same now.
