Twisting by the pool
Sep. 10th, 2009 04:47 pmThe good news is I got two calls from people today.
I’m not sure if it is two calls from one place or two different places.
The first was a headhunter who wouldn’t tell me who he represented. The second was a company that said they had been sent my application. But, it could still be a different one, hard to tell.
The strange thing is they asked for my college transcript. I was in the class of 85, even thought I graduated 6 months late. The first couple of jobs I got asked to see it. But, it’s been at least 15 years since anyone has asked to see it.
I’m sure I can get a copy. I don’t happen to have one around.
In other news, the apartment complex has finished closing the pool.

As I walked over to the market today, “Twisting by the Pool” came on my iPod. Since that came out when I was in college, and I had been asked for my college transcript and was walking by a pool, it all seemed to make sense. If not a lot of sense.
I like being walking distance from a supermarket. I really do. I just wish they would restock the stuff we like. Our soy ice cream substitute has been out since July. The soda all week.

There are plenty of other things as well, I only took pictures of those two.
However, they did have something strange. “Theme park turkey legs.”

I don’t know any theme parks that give out turkey legs. Ren Faires do. Maybe they are misnamed?

Where did Summer go?? :D
Sad they do not have your treats at the store. Bad store. Bad.
