Adventures in the sun

Today was a sunny, yet not too hot, day. My wife and I decided we should go out somewhere to enjoy it.
We braved the closed roads and set off.

We drove up to one of our favorite spots on Wachusett Reservoir.

We both like the spot near the old stone church.

They do seem to have a lot more rules then I remember when we started going there 25 years ago.

But now they have a porta-john, maps and information up, so I guess they’re actively managing it more then then used to.
Of course the info booth is full of wasps, but what can you do?

My wife found a nice place under a tree and took our her book.

I looked around the hollow church and grounds

But, I soon joined my wife under the tree.

After spending a very nice time there, we headed off to get lunch and go home.
I’ve got to say the Shrewsbury residents go farther every day to impress me with their parking

Granted, the car does have a handicapped tag, so can use the space. But, I still don’t think that’s an excuse to park so badly...
