Fifteen years ago
Sep. 27th, 2011 08:38 pmIt was fifteen years ago just about now that I left North America for the first time.
My wife and I were on our Honeymoon and went off to Ireland. Yes, it was 3 years after we got married, but when you rent a castle to get married, it takes a while to build up the cash for a honeymoon.
We were there for two weeks and saw:
The human eating sheep of the hill of kings
Road so narrow they knocked the mirrors off our car
An Irish man who thought we were from England (and could skip the gift shop)
A cheaper place than Waterford for crystal
The dolphin of Dingle
People not falling off the cliffs of Moher
The town in Ireland my wife can’t stand
It was a good trip even if I think I broke my shoulder getting away from those human eating sheep.
