Green spring
May. 13th, 2009 09:52 amI like the spring days, like yesterday, when it is a nice temperature (mid 60’s), not a cloud in the sky, and the trees are green all the way to the top.

However, more poison ivy seems to be popping up ever day.

It seems to be growing along all of the paths I walk like it knows I’m allergic to it and wants to get me. But, I’m 100% sure it’s growing along the paths I don’t walk too, so I don’t really feel singled out by the plant. (Although it could be the ent...)
Despite having a 24/7 headache from the pollen, I do like the hills green like yesterday.

Rather than brown and icy like after the ice storm last year.

Yesterday did seem to be “Emergency Vehicle Day” on the highways of Massachusetts. As we drove up to Lowell, two police cars came speeding up the high speed lane at about 90. They then pulled over to the other side and just sat there.

My wife thinks they may have been after a specific car and were setting up to get it.
Then there was a huge back up going north. But, it was very close to where I used to work in Westford, so I was able to get off the highway and get around it.
We did still drive by the building in Lowell my wife likes.

And, the gas station sign we both think is funny.

It’s a nice section of the city we go to.

Lots of trees along the streets and cobble stones for the roads.

You can see the tower of the Lowell campus of the University of Massachusetts.

The very small park next to the parking garage had lots of apple blossom pedals that had fallen on the ground. My suggestions of frolicking in them was not embraced.
