We had a bunch of folks show up for this week’s practice, including some we haven’t seen in a while.
So, we did some review of our historical techniques.

Robin and Ian did most of the scythe work this weekend. Ian has been trying to make some with 3D printer parts. And he found a good handle solution that looks like what’s in the 465 year old book.

Robin found a place that sells scythe parts. It looks like we could build our own for about half the price of new ones. That will save a few hundred dollars so is a good thing. We had to measure the old wooden shafts we have to get replacements for that.

The little strips we used to measure the shafts reminded me of Morris Dancer ribbons. This should not happen.

There was lots of other practicing of fights and historical techniques we’ll need for the upcoming show.
We have shows ever weekend in May and have to be ready for it. Hopefully we will be.

My wife said the drive home was under a dramatic sky.
