The current president reminds me of my mother.
And, not in a good way.
Some of these things I’ve told about back when I was doing comics about my youth during the pandemic.

My mother had this habit of making up things to try and trick me into doing things or to cover things she didn’t know. In retrospect they don’t make much sense, but when I was a kid, I didn’t know that.

And, of course the money she embezzled from me over the years, starting when I was very young. I’ve spoke of that before:

For decades she’s been telling everyone that she’s giving the house we grew up in to my brother as my sister and I went to college and he didn’t. (Ignoring the he did, but dropped out part.)
Back in the 80’s, before my father died, she told me she was going to put the house in my brother’s name then so that when she died he wouldn’t have to pay inheritance tax on it.
But, she turns 94 in 6 weeks, is older than anyone in the family has ever lived, but the records on line say the house is in her name.
And, given how it is listed on line, I think she might have done a reverse mortgage on it.
So, the house she’s promised my brother for more than 40 years he probably won’t get. And even if he does he’ll owe a whole ton of money on it. Given his job as a bag boy at a supermarket, I think he’ll need to sell it to afford the taxes. But, if there is a reverse mortgage, that may not be an option.

So, the current president and all his shenanigans just seem very familiar to this.
The lies, the anger, the cash grabs.
It’s hard for me to even listen to him as it is all just so familiar.
Not a fan.
Of either of them.
