Strange dream

I guess the main part of the dream wasn’t that strange.
My wife and I were at a shopping mall and saw a performance that was a preview of a new musical that was going to be put on.
That’s not strange, right?

But, in the dream we were in a world where Constantinople did not fall in the 1400’s and that instance of the Roman empire continued into the 20th century at least.
And, that made a major change to history over the last 560 years.

In the dream I remembered all of that history.
The difference in European/American contact.
The difference in European continental history.
The difference in 20th century history in the 1930’s and 1940’s where there was still an existing instance of Rome, so it was less possible for groups to consider themselves new instances of that empire and had to imagine themselves in different ways.

So, the shopping mall was nothing like the ones we have now. It had a big center space of trees and such as it was more built into the land instead of on top of it.
The musical was about a natzi siege of Constantinople by African troupes due to the different way that colonialism worked.
It was a love story about a Roman woman and a black natzi officer in the siege.

Most of this actually comes from my Youtube watching this morning before I took the nap where I had this dream.
I didn’t watch all these videos but saw the titles of some and watched others.
There was one I didn’t watch on when the Roman Empire really ended.
There was one I did watch on the most controversial Star Trek episodes that referenced when Jewish actors dressed at natzi’s on the show and some of their stated feelings about that.
I started, but didn’t finish one on the difference between European and US shopping malls.

So, I guess when I took a nap it blended them all together.
This is why I don’t take naps normally.
