We’re a week away from the start of spring, but we’re still getting snow. It certainly isn’t lasting the way it used to.

Friday was game night. March has Saint Patrick’s Day, so by long tradition we cook corned beef for it. I grew up with the grey corned beef instead of the red. I guess it’s only the Boston area that has it, but it’s what I like.
It’s hard to find. The place we bought for decades went out of business this last year, but we were able to finally find some.

As I’m still mostly working from home I was able to do the all day long boiling.

It came out well, and everyone seemed to like it.

We only played one game as it took a while.

It’s based on going to national parks and is very interesting. But, it took several hours to play.

Saturday we went to visit my aunt who lost her husband this week.
In the lobby they had a sign for other residents to find out.

She was playing bingo when we got there, so the receptionist went in to tell her and she came out.

She is doing OK, but is understandably sad. She has a very bad memory so there would be times she’s stop and say:
"Where’s Jim?" Then after a pause: "Wait, he’s dead…"
So, she is mostly keeping up with it.
And, we did get her to laugh a bit by the end.

When we went shopping afterwards we were surprised to come out and find a shopping cart up against our car.

But, it turned out that it was so windy that they were just blowing across the lot and that one hit our car. Others were still coming across, so we put ours in the corral where the wind would push it more in and went home.
