Another Viking update

fbhjrAs some of you know, a friend of mine has been working on a book about Viking Weapons and Combat. It was going to come out last month, but was delayed.
For those of you interested, he sent me his web site on it and some news about how his book has been received in Iceland.

I was googling stuff and came across your mention on Nov-3 about the Viking Weapons and Combat Techniques book.
Sorry, it's been delayed. According to the publisher, it will be released mid-January, 2009. More information about the book and its contents are here:

I made another visit to Iceland in September. The plan was to do some R&R, visit friends, do a bit of research for the next book. It turned into a publicity tour for the weapons book. I got an invitation to present on the research for the book at a university. The press picked up on it, and I got invited to do several more presentations while I was there. I was gratified to see that the Icelanders were so interested in the research, and so approving of the results.

I’ve got my copy on pre-order and am looking forward to it!
