More in the LA area

Tuesday morning we got up and drove across LA to the Autry museum: https://theautry.org

The drive there we were behind what might have been the shiniest truck I’ve ever seen.

I had wanted to see one of their special exhibits.

They also had another native artist there I really like, but you couldn’t take photos in that one.
They did have benches.

They did also have a collection of many western movie things. That isn’t really a type of movie I’m big on.
But, I did like Zorro the Gay Blade.

They had a machine for determining what else you should see in that park in LA. Push the button, a ball rolls through the machine and spins something to point at what you should do.
The good news is it picked what we were going to do next anyhow.

So, up to the hills we went.

The lot was full, so we had to park along the road and walk the rest of the way up.

But, what’s wrong with walking up hill for a kilometer when the temperature is 91F/33C?
At least it’s a nice view.

You can see a famous sign too.

But, we got there.

Still a nice view from the top.

It’s in a lot of movies.

They had a science museum in it. That’s cool!
They had one of those displays with all the elements that won’t kill you.

But, it was mostly the view we were there for.

Then, back down the hill to our car.

Then, to get the lightsabers home we stopped at Staples for packing material for bringing them home.

Then, packing everything else.

As our last day of tickets would expire if we used them or not, I did drop into Batu one last time.

But, without my wife there it wasn’t as much fun. So, I didn’t spend long.
