Franklin Ren Faire

As the week progressed my worry about Damien increased.


And, Saturday morning there was still quite a bit of rain about.


But, the drive wasn’t too bad.


We were soon in Franklin.


Looks just like where you’d find a family friendly ren faire…


OK, it’s better when you get to the park.


My wife and I were first there and began the set up.


But, soon the others arrived and we finished set up.


We had our own tent space, but the main big area was for fire shows.


My wife says the organizer is fond of me…


There was a continuous mystery about the schedule.


The fire department was ready for the first show.


The pirates went first.


Then we made use of the huge crowds of audience.


There was supposed to be a parade through town. But, they couldn’t get the permit. So, I went up and walked up and down main street admiring the signs and trying to send folks to the park.


Some strange shops there…


It is a nice park…


Magic Mike, the magician, not the movie, was also at the show and stopped by to visit.


We did lots of sword demos.


Some folks clearly liked the bag part.


After dark, we did the fire show.

The next morning, it was clear parts of me had been in the sun…


The hotel was much quieter than others of the chain. Maybe this sign is why:


Then, back to the faire where folks were cool…


A day time fire show, then mostly sword shows.



Casey seemed to think it very funny I used a spear to open my soda.


But, I couldn’t get the tab to lift. So, what was I supposed to do?
