Weeks in photos

Since we’ve had shows the previous two weekends, my photo posts have been about those.
So, here are some photos from this week, and those pervious two that didn’t get rolled into the show ones.

It’s been very hot this summer. This has resulted in some major storms. There have been microbursts and tornadoes in the area. Fortunately the worst to impact us is lightning strikes shorting out the register at the local gas station…


Deer have been going through the parking lot of the manufacturing building where I work. Sadly they seem to have an uncanny sense of how long it takes me to get my camera out and I keep just missing them. But, there had been deer. Really…


The sales at the local supermarket come and go so fast they don’t even put up the price. You just know there is a sale on it. I guess you’re supposed to check the price on your phone’s app…


The sunglasses my wife bought me make the sun look like the eclipse we saw two years ago.


We had an ice cream event at work. Since I can’t eat it, I was surprised I was the first one there…


Our oven broke and it took the apartment complex maintenance people two days to fix it because "they were so busy"…


Of course having my teeth worked on has been a big part of the last few weeks.


Driving home this woman stopped traffic to get something from the side of the road. Then, she pulled into a drive way about 3 meters farther up the road. Not sure why she couldn’t have pulled in first and not stopped traffic.


At least we didn’t end up like these folks.


And, she wasn’t the only one to block major roads.


I can tell the days are getting shorter. We’ve still got 6 weeks until we get to the day shorter than the night point. But, it’s still darker when I go to work then it was.


But, the dinosaur on the way home from work is still wearing its wreath of summer flowers.


For July, I kept all my soda bottle webs that they come with from the store, just to see how many I used in a month.
It’s a lot.


I was surprised to see this display at the supermarket.

Are Rey and Batgirl teaching the others to fight? Or, just leading them?

Last night we went to visit my Aunt and her husband for dinner.


We had a nice enough visit. He’s slipping away a lot these days and it worries my Aunt. I can’t say I blame her for that.


Their cat visited as well. She’s a very nice cat, but I am allergic.
