We didn’t sleep quite as late on the 24th.

I did walk about some as my wife got some more sleep.
This is our hotel.

I went back to the room after she got up.

Then, we drove out to my cousin’s house.

I was surprised the car had a button for "drive mode". Who does things other than drive with it?

There was much discussion of the flowers in front of his house.

We went off to the Central Florida Zoo (http://www.centralfloridazoo.org )

They have small benches and animals that aren’t totally real.

And, dead bugs.

And, full size benches too.

Many were dedicated to people.

They had places not to sit too.

And, lots of walkways.

Many of them dedicated to people too.

Some not kept up.

Their snack bar is by Sonny’s, a BBQ place we often go to in Pensacola. The zoo snack bar offered the full holiday meal for 10 people.

I wonder that their ad says "includes a NEW, flavorful turkey". Who would want and old turkey? Or a reused turkey?

I did not get the turkey.

Nor did anyone else.

They do have real animals. A fair number of them.

The squirrel was not part of the exhibit.

They had a lot about bears.

The bears themselves ignored us.

But, there were instructions.

I’m not sure this works.

Maybe they were ignoring the jets flying not too far overhead.

Maybe it was the electric fence.

It was a good day to be walking about.

Then, we drove off to look for a place for a snack. Some places did not seem Santa friendly.

We ended up at a place near where my cousins live.

It’s a nice place.

Then we went to my other cousin’s house home for a bit.

Then we all went off to dinner.

It was my cousin’s birthday, and she seemed happy.

The statues with wreathes didn’t seem to enjoy them.

Christmas morning we had a refraction rainbow.

We packed up and checked out.

Then, back over to my cousin’s.

We spent Christmas morning there and had a nice visit, then headed home.
