A few months ago I talked about the signs that the Illuminati was present in the Whole Foods near us.

Maybe I had the wrong ancient powers…

We don’t buy much when we go to Whole Foods. Usually we go to their sandwich area and have sandwiches. They make them for you at not a horrible cost.

Last week on my way home from work I stopped and got us sandwiches. My wife very much liked the sandwich I got for her. The woman behind the counter was a tall thin woman who appeared to be of European decent in her mid-20’s.

Today my wife asked for me to stop and get sandwiches on the way home again.

I went over to the sandwich counter.
The woman there was a short middle aged woman who appeared to be of Asian decent.

I gave her the order for my wife’s sandwich.
"Same as last time," she said. "Did your wife like it?"
I looked to see if the woman from last week was there and might have seen me and said something to this other woman. She was not in evidence.
"Yes," I said. "She liked it very much."
"No lettuce or tomato, but with provolone cheese," she said.
"Yes, that’s right."

To be fair, I am very repeatable in what I order. At each place I frequent, I have a favorite thing. I always get that at that particular place. If I want something else, I go somewhere else.
So, there are places where I walk in and they will ask if I want my usual. And, I do.

But, last week they didn’t have what I normally order for my wife. So, I had to pick something that was not the standard thing.
And, that is what this woman who wasn’t there last week remembered, not what would have counted as my "normal".

My theory is it actually the same woman and she is some sort of shape changing fairy creature. Since my wife has taken up making and selling fairy items, this is probably their thanks for it.

I don’t care. The sandwiches are good.
