Doctor’s visit

I went to the doctor for my annual physical today.
They started by weighing me and measuring my height. I’d gained weight over the winter and apparently shrunk 6mm-1/4”. (Of course my doctor’s assistant didn’t have the height thing on top of my head as she is much shorter than me so gave me the ¼” to account for that.)
Then, she took my blood pressure. Hey, guess what? It was higher than normal.
Next they gave me the biggest examination robe they had, but it was not as wide as my shoulders to I had to lean forward and pull my shoulders together to keep it from just snapping off.
They took my blood pressure again, and were surprised it had gone up.
Clearly, to them, they need to increase by meds.
The good news was other than that all the tests were in the right range.
Cholesterol, blood sugar, and various scans for bad things in my blood all came back OK.
I was surprised when my doctor told me she didn’t know I did sword fighting.
I know I’ve mentioned it before. Especially last year after I hurt my arms.
“Have you been doing it long?” she asked me.
“It depends on how you look at it. Since 1977 is a blink geologically.”
“Why haven’t you mentioned this?”
“I do. Almost every visit.”
“You’re serious?”
So, I gave her our website. We’ll see if she looks at it or not…
